ISOLIT

Athletes know the importance of protein. It provides the building blocks for their muscles, and it’s an absolute must when trying to grow bigger, faster, and stronger.

To ensure optimal daily protein intake, athletes often turn to protein powders, due to their convenience and high protein content, and more often than not these protein powders are made from whey protein.

Derived from cow’s milk, whey protein has been a staple of bodybuilders, athletes, and weekend warriors for decades for a host of reasons:

  • Cost Effective

  • Convenient

  • Portable

  • Shelf stable

  • Delicious

  • Packed with protein

  • Wide array of flavors

But, in recent years, protein powders have suffered in terms of quality, taste, and affordability. In an effort to cut costs, manufacturers have opted for lower quality proteins and less-satisfying flavoring technologies. This has left consumers thirsting for a protein that mixes easily, tastes great, doesn’t upset their stomach, and doesn’t break the bank.

The team at Primeval Labs has surveyed the sad state of protein powders in the industry and heard your cries and sought to develop a protein that was not only of superior quality, but also tasted better than anything ever tasted before.

This quest to develop the ultimate protein powder resulted in the creation of ISOLIT.

What is Isolit?

ISOLIT is a 100% pure whey protein isolate protein powder that mixes easily and tastes absolutely delicious. ISOLIT is derived from exceptionally high-quality milk, and by using only whey protein isolate, we’ve maximized protein content per scoop while limiting carbohydrates and fat.

Premium Quality Whey Protein Isolate

ISOLIT is an easily digestible pure whey protein isolate that contains a 100% pure, Triple Cold-Filtered processed whey protein isolate (4x smaller than micro filtered!), giving you a protein with unparalleled absorption and bioavailability!

By using a cold-filtered purification process, ISOLIT is able to retain a higher concentration of the bioactive fractions naturally occurring in whey protein including:

  • ß-lactoglobulin

  • α-lactalbumin

  • Bovine serum albumin

  • Immunoglobulins

  • Glycomacropeptide

  • Lactoferrin

  • Lactoperoxidase

  • proteose Peptones

Cold Pressed Cross Flow Microfiltration is a natural non-chemical manufacturing process which uses high-tech ceramic filters to remove the vast majority of carbohydrates, lactose, and fat from milk. Unlike ion exchange, which involves the use of harsh chemicals such as hydrochloric acid that degrade the bioactive whey fractions, cold-pressed cross-flow microfiltered whey uses no harsh chemicals or high temperatures, resulting in a whey protein isolate that retains all of the beneficial bioactive fractions of whey while at the same time delivering a powder that is incredibly high in protein and essential minerals, but low in carbs, fat, and lactose.

Why Use Whey Protein Isolate?

Hard training athletes know the value of a calorie, and if you’re anything like us, you hate wasting calories on unnecessary carbohydrates and fats lurking in your protein powder. For this exact reason, we’ve selected whey protein isolate.

Whey protein isolate contains a minimum 90% protein by mass, which means there’s virtually no room left for carbohydrates, lactose, or fat. Typical bargain bin protein powders you’ll find on the market use the cheaper, less refined whey protein concentrate, which is rich in various immunoglobulins and lactoferrins, but suffers from a lack of standardization in quality.

You see, whey protein concentrate can range anywhere from 35-80% protein by weight depending on what quality a particular manufacturer ends up using. Even worse, companies aren’t required to list which grade of whey protein concentrate they use in their protein, which means you could only be getting about 35% protein by weight in your powder. This also means you’re “economy” protein powder could contain as much as 65% carbohydrates and fats. That’s hardly a “protein powder” in our book.

ISOLIT utilizes whey protein isolate, the purest form of whey protein on the market. Whey Isolate is processed one degree further than whey concentrate to remove fat and lactose, which delivers high protein, low carbohydrate and fat, and no GI upset. In other words, each serving of Isolit is basically pure protein. We’ve gone the extra mile to source a higher quality whey protein isolate so you can rest assured that you get what you pay for, and don’t waste money (and calories) on extraneous carbohydrates, fats, and fillers like maltodextrin and flour.[2]

Supports Muscle Recovery and Growth!

Whey protein really is the “perfect protein”. It touts a biological value of 104 -- that’s even higher than egg protein, the “ideal” human protein.[3,4] Essentially what this means, is that whey protein is readily absorbed and used by your body. Other proteins with low biological values (i.e. most plant proteins) are not efficiently used by the body, which means the valuable essential amino acids making up the protein aren’t readily used by the body and are thus eliminated.

By offering a high biological value, whey protein is the perfect protein for athletes looking to improve body composition, recovery, and performance. Best of all, research backs this up to!

Numerous studies have shown that supplementing with whey protein enhances muscle building and body composition.[5]

How does whey protein support muscle growth?

Well, whey protein is a complete protein, meaning it supplies all of the essential amino acids (EAAs) required for protein synthesis, and it’s also rich in the mTOR-stimulating branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), leucine in particular.

But there’s more to the power of whey than just a stellar amino acid profile.

Researchers believe whey protein’s body recomposition properties may be due to whey protein improving the way your muscles use amino acids, essentially making them more anabolic. Furthermore, other studies using whey protein supplementation have documented improved body composition and strength as a result of using with whey protein.[6,7,8]

Encourages Fat Loss Too!

Not only is whey protein great for packing on slabs of lean muscle mass, it’s also beneficial for those looking to lose fat. Research conducted in 2015 compared the effects of whey protein with or without carbohydrates on training adaptations in 86 recreationally-active men.

During the course of a 12 week resistance training program, subjects consumed either:

  • whey protein alone

  • whey protein + carbohydrates

  • only carbohydrates

immediately following a total body training session.

All groups experienced similar gains in strength, muscle size, and fat-free mass, but here’s the really cool thing about the group using whey protein -- they lost abdominal fat! Surprised by the results, researchers noted:

“whey proteins may increase abdominal fat loss and relative fat-free mass adaptations in response to resistance training when compared to fast-acting carbohydrates.”[9]

Basically, if you’re a hard training athlete looking to improve lean mass gains, decrease body fat, and have an ideal body composition, you want to use whey protein.

Key Features

What is DigeSEB Plus®?

Whey protein isolate on its own is easy on the digestive system and readily absorbed, but to further improve the quality and superiority of Isolit, we’ve added a full complement of digestive enzymes to further enhance nutrient absorption and obliterate the “heavy” feeling that plagues other whey protein powders.

ISOLIT includes EIGHT different digestive enzymes, featuring HemiSEB® -- a unique enzyme complex that enhances digestibility, reduces bloating, and improves overall nutrition. HemiSEB contains a special combination of cellulose, xylanase B, glucosidase, pectinase, and phytase specifically formulated to improve digestibility of a broad range of foods (especially dairy) into nutrients your body can easily use.

Also included in our patented DigeSEB Plus blend are:

  • Amylases - naturally occurring enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates, more specifically starch, into smaller dextrins and sugars

  • Proteases I & II - enzyme produced by the body that hydrolyzes (breaks down) proteins like whey, casein, steak, chicken, fish as well as plant proteins into smaller chains of polypeptides and amino acids for uptake and utilization by the body

  • Lactase - enzyme that breaks down lactose (milk sugar)

  • Lipase - enzyme that catalyzes the breakdown of fats into essential fatty acids used by the body for cell membrane repair and maintenance, hormone production, and numerous other functions

  • Cellulase - enzyme that digests cellulose, a complex carbohydrate found in all plant material including plant fiber

  • Invertase - enzyme that breaks down sucrose into the monosaccharides glucose and fructose.

  • Diastase - a type of amylase that breaks down starch into dextrin and maltose

Why Include Digestive Enzymes?

Digestive enzyme supplements can enhance nutrient absorption, improve energy levels, and encourage overall better health. By including this comprehensive matrix of digestive enzymes, we can help eliminate the discomfort of incomplete digestion, while actually enhancing the breakdown of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. The end result is greater nutrient uptake and utilization to support muscle recovery and growth from your intense training.

NOTE: Contains Milk and Tree Nuts (Coconut).

    Great tasting.

Posted by Jay on Oct 24th 2018

I use the chocolate milk flavor and it tastes kind of like Nestle's Quik. Mixes instantly, nice and smooth, with a clean after taste. Best of all, this is the first whey protein that does not cause any digestion issues....none.

Isolit - Chocolate, Vanilla and Orange

    Posted by B.A. on Oct 1st 2018

On my 4th and 5th cans of Isolit. The macros fit my diet made by a nutritionist perfectly to coincide with all the real food. The Isolit flavors are great, Vanilla is a bit sweet but totally good. Absolutely no complaints with this product, get some. Its pricey but you get what you pay for, quality protein that wont mess your guys up. I have 30 years of gym/powerlifting/training/sports in and this product is by far the best one I've come across. Not sponsored or anything by Primeval, just like their products. Hoping the rest of their products are as good as Isolit... Remains to be seen.

    Best Protein I've Tasted

Posted by Gooze on Sep 12th 2018

Although the protein content is kinda low for how 33g serving, the taste more than makes up for it. I grabbed the chocolate milk and the orange creamsicle which are both really good. The orange creamsicle is by far my favorite and look forward to it every day, where I will sip it and savor the flavor instead of pounding it like usual. Just wished they sold it in bigger tubs because the 30 serving size does not really work for me, but really don't have a choice in the matter. I will continue to buy this protein regardless.
